These two original portraits of the legendary musician and performer Willie Nelson were painted by internationally known portrait painter and illustrator, James Yale. They are true master pieces of fine art that depict the life and character of Willie Nelson in concert in Eureka Springs, May 8th of 2005. Yale worked from photos that were taken by friend and photographer Richard Quick, as well as from his own memories of the concert. They were framed by the artist in natural redwood frames with chamois skin liners. They are signed by James Yale on the canvas and autographed on the back by Willie Nelson in appreciation of your support of the arts and medical research. These two exceptional paintings will be auctioned off to the highest bidders, by our special “mystery auctioneer” after Robin English’s performance and before Willie Nelson’s performance. |

IF I WERE A PAINTING....Willie Nelson If I were a painting Captured on canvas Alone in the portrait I would stand And brush strokes bold Yet soft as a whisper The work of a feminine hand Caught in a still life Surrounded by shadows And lost in a background of blue If I were a painting My price would be pain And the artist would have to be you I imagine the colors Would all run together If you ever allowed me to cry So don’t paint the tears Just let me remember me Without you in my eyes It’s only the frame That holds me together Or else I would be falling apart If I were a painting I wouldn’t feel And you wouldn’t be breaking my heart
